This series of walks has been designed for interest, exercise and to stir the feeling of general well-being. Those in and around Tiverton appear first and then spread out as far as Eggesford. They are all within our beloved area of Mid-Devon.
Always have suitable clothing and footwear for the season, weather and the terrain; and be optimistic and take a hat plus suntan lotion. For longer walks, a rucksack is always handy for food, flask, a small first aid kit and a mobile for emergencies and photography; remember the annual Dennis Pickering photo competition, and maps where useful. Walking poles will keep your arms as fit as your legs - all so necessary now as we wave goodbye to the restraints of lock-down life. Binoculars, x 10 lens, pencil, notebook, penknife and compass to load you up even more but still observe any government restrictions or recommendations.
If some of the walks and outings appear extensive, split them into manageable portions.
