This will only be used if you are a current member and emails are being rejected so I can check that I have the correct email, or in case of an emergency (e.g. if you got separated from the group on an outing).

Website
The website (www.mdw.org.uk) has details of future events, back copies of the newsletters, information on the wildlife warden scheme and other information including the privacy statement and background to MDW etc. We have information on local walks with wildlife interest on the website, and any updates and additions to this list are most welcome.

Events
We hold a selection of indoor and outdoor events every year covering all areas of wildlife interest or closely related topics. Details of upcoming events are on the website and reminders are sent out approx. 1 week before each event.

Indoor events are held at:

Cherith Hall, Blundells Road, Tiverton, EX16 4BZ and you can attend in person of via Zoom. There is free parking available at the hall.

At the moment, there is also the option to join the meeting by Zoom if you cannot attend. We carried on this mode of delivery after the Covid pandemic, but we sometimes experience technical difficulties and cannot guarantee as good an experience as being in the hall.

Details of how to do this are sent out with the meeting information email.

Outdoor events are included in the membership fee, unless stated otherwise.

Newsletter
We aim to produce 3 newsletters per year and contributions to the newsletter are most welcome from members on any trips, or wildlife experiences or photos you wish to share.

What’s App Group
There is also a What's App group for MDW where we share findings and items of interest in “real time”. Let me know if you are interested in joining that group and I’ll nned your mobile number to add you in.

Annual Dennis Pickering Photo Competition

Finally, there is very popular annual photography competition for members. The call for entries comes in October/November, then we have a secret vote and the top 3 are revealed in December. Any other queries, please contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots.
